Pray for Becky please

Please pray for my father. His name is John Parsons. He had cancer surgery on Feb. 7th. Due to the cancer being in his neck ( adenoid cystic carcinoma ) the radiation and chemo have taken away his taste buds, his voice, and his salvia glands. He became completely dehydrated and malnourished and wound up in the hospital last week. He is now on a feeding tube and the doctors have done all they can for him. He is refusing and oral foods and very little liquid. The doctors have told us that he will be coming home the first of the week with hospice care. If they remove the feeding tube, he will live about a week. With it, about a month or two. His body is shutting down. My father is 74 yrs old and understands what is happening to him. He loves the Lord and my mom is waiting for him in heaven. He understands that he is going to come home to die. He'd rather die than try to eat. Please help his children ( especially me ( he lives with me and my husband) to understand his thinking and his desires ) and to acdept that this is his will. I want to be so angry at him for making this decision to die when the only thing wrong with him is his lack of nutritional support. Please don't let anger come in the way of my love for him during this time of his life. Thank you .

Dear Friends and Family,

We had to remove dad's feeding tube this morning. He became unable to digest the formula and the tube blocked and we were unable to flush it this time. At this time he has elected not to have one put back in. If he will eat and drink normally ( which he hasn't done in a long time ) there is a chance that he can become strong. He hasn't been out of his hospital bed in 4 days now. If he continues to eat and drink minimal amounts like he has been doing, they predict that we could possibly loose him within 10 days to 3 weeks. His body just isn't strong enough to last without nutrition. Please help us pray for dad to DESIRE to help himself become strong. More than that, help us to accept whatever will happen between he and God during this time. We know that he has a relationship with God and now it is between the two of them and we must do our part but let God and dad fight the battle.
