Mathew 22:36. Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38. This is the first and great commandment. 39. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Taking that into consideration, the answer to all those questions are right in there. In every single question that was asked above, consider ALL people involved. The one in question, anyone watching, and last, yourself. Everything we do either builds someone or something, up or breaks them down. We are ALL creators or destroyers. Every word, action, or thought.
Just think of God, and think of others before we act or speak. Easier said than done of course, but not impossible.

that answers not one of the questions, nor any of the points raised by the questions, or in fact makes any sense, thus defeating the point of the original post, and my somewhat sanctimonious answer

I think it answers all the questions. That's always the line. If all the commandments hang on those 2. Then everything we do should be based on them. If we put God first, others second, and ourselves last, then we won't be legalistic, materialistic, patronising, wrong, etc.

Honestly, with a thought of God coming first in every action, question, or issue, and others coming next we are doing what we should be doing. Like you in this situation, because of the fine direction this topic is going, I do not see an issue with the response. Here is the thought process that goes into answering your post. [Q] How would God have me answer this? With Love and truth would be the best idea.
[Q] What would help relativestranger better understand what is being said in the last two posts? For me not to be sanctimonious, legalistic, patronizing, wrong etc.
[Q] Then finally... Am I being messed with? ;D Dunno.... I have been known to be a pontificating, sanctimonious, legalistic, patronizing, hypocritical windbag who deserves to be messed with... so maybe
Final conclusion... Please tell me what was wrong with my answer. If I have to guess I will think too much
