I recevied this today and felt the need to share...
If the devil were to write his beattitudes they'd probably go something like this:
Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend an hour once a week with their fellow Christians in church ........ they are my best workers.
Blessed are those who wait to be asked then expect to be thanked ........ I can use them.
Blessed are the touchy, with a bit of luck they may stop going to church...... they are my best missionaries.
Blessed are those who are very religious but get on everyone's nerves....... they are mine forever.
Blessed are the trouble makers.....they shall be called my children.
Blessed are those who have no time to pray ... they are easy prey for me
Blessed are the gossips, for they are my secret agents!
Blessed are those who are critical of church leadership, they will inherit a place with me in my fate.
Blessed are the complainers ....... I'm all ears for them.
Blessed are you when you read this and think it is about other people and not yourself ..... I've got you!

God Bless have you never heard the phrases 'better the devil you now' or 'know thy enemy'. The only way to know how to beat somone or something is to know exactly how they are likely to attack, i am not asking you to study the devil but to know what he is likely to try to get you is important surely. Did you not find yourself in the above list?

Hehe I really this.
Andy while I understand your thinking and good intentions, I think I'd have to disagree with you on that. Jesus talked about Hell a lot more than He talked about Heaven, and we should be aware of what the evil one will decieve us into thinking and doing, so that we can learn to better avoid some things. After all, we are to fear God in a trembling and awed respect for His power and wrath, but if we don't learn about the consequences of disobeying God and His Word, what about Him would we learn to fear?
