Missing Words
There are several words that seem to be missing from today’s vocabulary. Words such as INTEGRITY, HONESTY, VALOR, and TRUSTWORTHYNESS don’t seem to exist much any more. It is sad to see what has happened in our world without these. It seems it is all now “every man for himself” regardless of what it does to someone else. Lying has become more and more a way of life and anyone who would dare believe what someone else said to them is a moron.
It does seem that many years ago that “a man was only as good as his word” stood as the way to be. Most contracts were done with a handshake and “a man’s word was his bond”. I just don’t see that much now. It seems that what I see most are people who will tell you what they think you want to hear with out any meaning behind it.
The Bible use to be the guide book for living. Now more Bibles are being bought but more and more they are just collecting dust instead of being read. Proverbs was not just a book in the Bible; it was a standard for the way a person should try to live their lives. It truly is a goldmine of wisdom.
I would love to see what would happen if people would actually start reading that book again and live what printed there. I can imagine a world where the missing words were brought back and being implemented.
Can you imagine a world where you could believe what a person said to you? Can you imagine a world where integrity was something to be sought? I can. If you would like a world like this then let this world start with us.
