Two men at a crossroads, each in their gardens of choice,
in the lapse of moments, a decision to stand or fall.
Adam in Eden, left perfection giving all a sinful voice,
Christ in Gethsemene chose death for the life of us all.
Just as Adam made the choice of sin over perfection,
to us all came the result of condemnation unto death.
Through the death of Christ comes a new direction,
over the bridge of forgiveness, the resurrected breath.
In the garden of my life, a choice also I must make,
the way that leads to death or the death that leads the way.
Put to death, the self of the hard heart He breaks,
in the sacrifice of will comes the reward of eternal days.
The liberties of hope from the obedience in Gethsemene,
overcomes the depravity of condemnation in Eden.
Now in grace I stand, no longer to God an enemy,
following in the graceful footsteps of Jesus Christ's leadin'.
