In this world you will have troubles
. Troubles came into being in the Garden of Eden. Since the fall of man in the Garden no one has had a life with out them. We all seem to think that we have more than our share of them. That is, until we look around us and see how big and many problems others have. When we do that in an honest manner we see that our problems are small and few.
God allows problems to come into our lives to draw us closer to Him. It is human nature for us to draw away from God when everything is going great for us. It isn’t until something bad happens that we think of Him. Oh we say we do, we go to church on Sunday morning and maybe read the Bible every once in a while. But, that is not really drawing near to God who loves us so much.
God wants to have a very personal and close relationship with us. He gave His only Son to us. He did this so you and I will have a chance to live forever with Him. There had to be a sacrifice to pay the debt of sin that we owe. Jesus became that sacrifice for us. He was willing to go through everything that He needed to just to show us how much He loves us.
God tests us to show us just how much we really do love Him. He already knows the answer to that. We are slow to learn the lessons that we need to learn to be prepared to do His work here on earth. I really wish I would learn my lessons faster.
God also allows us to go through trials and storms so that when we have come through them we can help others. None of us has gone thought something that no other person has ever gone though. We can help others the most when we have been in the same situation.
My prayer is that I may be able to help someone else as much as I have been helped by others.
