This time of the year everyone is busy buying presents for everyone and wondering what they are going to get. The greatest gift anyone can receive is the gift that God gave us that first Christmas some 2000 years ago. He gave us Himself. God came to us in the form of a baby. He gave His earthly life for us so that all men and women could be saved. He wants to have us as His friends and family.
While we are busy wrapping the presents and decorating the tree, house, and everything else, we should take some time and think about whose birthday it is that we are celebrating. What present are we going to give Him? What present could we possibly give Him who gave us everything.
There is only one thing that we could give Him that He would want. He wants us to give Him ourselves. He loves us and wants to have a personal relationship with Him. True love only comes from God. God is love. He wants us to love our fellow man. We can only do that when God’s love dwells inside of us.
My Christmas wish for everyone this year is that God’s love live deep inside of you. May the new year bring you all the true joy that comes from knowing Jesus.
