I have been visiting different kinds of churches to find one that really makes me feel "comfortable" and uplifted. The community church I really like is about to disband, and a large "satellite" church service will start being broadcast, with TV screen preaching, but local praise team with collections taken up. Several members are leaving; new folks are coming in. I sort of feel I could watch the same service on TV at home, but there wouldn't be anybody else to fellowship with..... What are your thoughts on TV services, vs. a live preacher???

I think TV services are good, but it does not equal good fellowship. It's a real shame the one you have enjoyed is going to disband, but perhaps you can still fellowship with some of the members in another way, like a bible study, or some kind of helpful ministry in the community. Then a TV service wouldn't be so lonely, because you would also have something else.
I pray you find the best possible church to call home!

I hope you find a good church, but remember that church is not about us, it's about God. If our reason for going to church is to find a place to be comfortable, we're going for the wrong reason. It's great to be comfortable in a church yes, and I hope you do find one you are comfortable in, but just be sure you keep in mind that the purpose of church isn't for our own enjoyment in the fellowship, but for God's enjoyment in our fellowship as a united body worshiping Him.
I'm always very weary of TV preachers, because most TV preachers, though they may be very well meaning, they are more focused on appealing to others than preaching the truth of God's Word, which is a serious problem. But not all of them of course.

I think Assembly is saying that the same services will be televised instead of "live and in person". So it's not like some of the evangelists, but what they already know.
