A question arose pertaining to the Bible teaching of how one should practice what you preach.
Okay, I will use one of my flaw as an example cuz itll be easier. I enjoy to playing various video games & watching movies which would also include those that have alot of violence. Im not so much Christian anymore but wouldnt I have to give up those things completely if I were one (Christian) cuz it would conflict with what the Bible teaches.
If I were a Christian & continue to indulge in those type of things I'd be a hypocite? Well I wouldnt be one (Christian) at all cuz that would demostrate acceptance of Satan doing, not God... wouldnt you say so? Due to the fact that the Bible teaches that violence is wrong & that continuous bad influence will eventually spoil good habits. And if I were to continue to entertain myself with that garbage it would demostrate that my heart isnt pure & true to God cuz if it (my heart) was... I wouldnt be doing it or at least trying to make an effort to stop feeding the inner demon.
*Excuse my wording as this is kinda hard to describe even though the concept is very easy to grasp. NO need to comment for the answer is a YES! It just something I thought of & just felt like it needed to be address.
Before making any decisions a true Christian will always ask themselves what would Jesus do cuz he wouldnt do anything that would contradict the God... only things that his Father approved.

"Before making any decisions a true Christian will always ask themselves what would Jesus do cuz he wouldnt do anything that would contradict the God... only things that his Father approved. " Here you are very right. We do need to ask ourselves if God would approve. As for you playing your games just because of the violence, if you think it is wrong and you do it then you have sinned. That goes for anything else you do also. What my opinion of a game may be different than yours. If you feel that something is a sin though and you do it any way then you are sinning. At least, that is the way I interpret what the Bible says.

Thank you for your honesty. I appreciate the question you have asked. You must truly believe on the Lord to have such questions. I think you are sincere and it is your choice to decide weather to play such games. However, it is unlikely that you would even care if you didn't love God deep down in your heart. I pray that our Heavenly Father will help you to resolve this conflict and will bless you mightily. However, the Bible does say that he who does what he knows is wrong to him it is sin. I am guilty of this at times myself. I pray that you will make the right choice. As for violent video games...why not find video games that are fun and exciting? But not violent. God bless.

@ Betty - Well I dont think its all that bad cuz it doesnt really hurt anybody but I think its bad for a person spiritually / interally. For example, the media portrays alot of news/movies that are well how should I save this... unfavorable & overtime I think that sine its so common to the masses it num a person's a person heart. It like taking a lil injection of evil, wouldnt you say so? childolord - Thanks for you honesty also. Well theres still a part of me that does. My fellow Jehovah Witnesses (JW) are kinda like family to me. If they chose to spend their lives dedicating it to God by teaching & spreading the God's Word to other such as myself well then the least I can do is to continue to look into it. I respect them all too much to let their efforts go to waste. There must be something there. Unfortunately at the moment I its fit both the description of fun & exciting to me. Perhaps one day... I may just get the strength to break away but you must admit that it better than acting it out on the innocent. Better where no ones hurt than the actually shedding of blood. I also like to address that for the most part not everybody... perhaps just a small %age of people are actually gonna act out those things. - Those would be the ones who werent raise with proper morals beforehand. *Back when I go home church by my fellow JW (Jehovah Witnesses). Their self restraint seems quite astonishing & admirable. They strive & stresses that one should practice what you preach. I love that JW concept of how that once they get themselves together they become teachers themselves on the side, instead of how all the churches just have like a main reverend. It just shows that everyone capable & in times of crisis theres a whole bunch of people for support that can be found at the congregation & who can guide a person more to the right direction than the masses who I consider unfit to be giving advice when theyre a mess themselves. Everyone takes the time to teach by choice & fellow members would talk to each other there instead of just having one person read from a book. Its much more meaningful & helpful at least in my opinion. At the end of the service everyone actually stay for perhaps an hour of so to offer their thoughts & support to each other. Its quite an experience just to see people like that instead of those that walk out as soon as it over. Anyways I think it puts all the more pressure on one cuz God does judge a teacher harder. Reason being is if that their educated on His Word & for them to teach they must truly believe in it, otherwise they are no better... perhaps worst than the other cuz they arent fit to be teaching at all! How can one teach another if they cant pull themselves together to even commit to their teaching thus potentially leading others including themselves astray? The best teaches are those who believe & strive to make themselves fit the mold of the perfect model which consist of their beliefs. In the end... I guess if one truly knows Him then they dont really have all that much worries, stress, or pressure cuz itll be relieve for the most part. Since I knew my Aunt Fay she'd always seemed so at ease & happy. She was a JW & she did her duties. She spread God word to others & live accordingly to it. Same goes for my Uncle Michael & other fellow JW. - They dont seem all that worry.
