Though the familiar musical highlights of Sigmund Romberg's score for The Student Prince were retained for the 1952 film version, Messrs. Webster and Brodszky were summoned to supply a suitable hymn for the grief-stricken prince as he views the bier of his dead father. "I'll Walk with God" was sung in the movie by the unseen Mario Lanza whose voice was dubbed in for actor Edmund Purdom.
